Getting to the subway is easy from this strategic location. Parking is the downside: it’s all blue lines, and the rates are extortionate, even at night.

Valentina was generous with advice and even helped us sort out a problem with a gas station. We’re very grateful to her. The apartment is newly renovated, with two individually bookable bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, plus a hallway and office. We were there with friends and booked both rooms. They’re not especially large, but the bathrooms are spacious, with big walk-in showers. The rooms have adjustable air conditioning and good windows that keep outside noise out. The B&B is a few steps from Pozzuoli’s Solfatara railway station, with trains to central Naples every 15 minutes. On the morning we arrived, the owner sent us all the information we needed, including details for parking at the station for €10 a day. Breakfast was included and served at a nearby pastry shop with plenty of choice. We’d happily recommend the place.

For parking, I’d get the €10-a-day card, since parking in Pozzuoli costs more than lunch at Cracco's. You can change your parking every other day, at least, instead of every three. The room was small but comfortable, and the bathroom was convenient. There’s no full-sized fridge, so bring only half-liter bottles of water. No balcony, not much light, and no ventilation. Daily cleaning costs extra; otherwise you have to wait three days. Who stays in Pozzuoli more than three days? The center is a bit far, and the huge parking problem means leaving the car near the B&B and walking 15 minutes, up and down. For what we paid, I honestly expected a little more in every way, and believe me, I’ve traveled a lot.

The station is even closer than the center, so the location is perfect. Mrs. Valentina was so kind and helpful, and the room was spotless with tasteful decor. I had a great stay, this B&B deserves its 5 stars, and I’ll be back soon! 😉
