Casa Grande

The apartment at Casa Grande is all wood and very cozy, and we stayed for a week. The owner was kind and attentive. The shower is tiny, and the phone doesn't work, so we had to step out onto the balcony to make calls or use the internet.

The village itself is lovely and convenient, with parking always available and attractions close by. The Equinozi apartment is bright and beautiful, and could be very spacious, but it was poorly equipped. The furniture felt flimsy, uncomfortable and badly assembled, with a crooked faucet, a leaky sink and a very thin mattress. There were no bathroom or kitchen products, not even toilet paper or soap, and we had to make the beds ourselves.

Soucheres-Basses is a wonderful village, gathered around a little square with a fountain behind the church. It's a short walk from Pragelato on a path through the woods, and Fraisse is another lovely village you can reach by a woodland path that sometimes runs along the Chisone stream. We spent a spring weekend here, still in the off-season, and the service was excellent. The property has a partnership with a nearby restaurant where the quality, quantity and price were truly excellent. Our studio apartment was beautiful and comfortable, with a kitchen, table, double bed, armchair and fireplace in the main room, plus a bathroom with a shower. Everything was clean and well cared for. Ideal for a couple looking to relax.

We picked this place through a booking site after deciding at the last minute to spend a night in Pragelato and see some friends. What luck. The owner welcomed us warmly, then we walked into an apartment that was spotless and seemed brand new, kitchen included. The owner said all their apartments are in the same condition. We'll stay here again on our next Pragelato holiday.
