Hotel Margherita

We came in late February 2026 for one night and found parking easy. After leaving the car, we walked around town. Our balcony room had a fabulous sea and coastline view. It was pristine, with lots of thoughtful touches, and breakfast was lovely. Everything went well.

A rockfall closed the road, so we couldn’t drive or take a bus west from Praiano to Amalfi, Atrani, Ravello and that part of the coast. Suela helped us arrange other ways to get there, including a shuttle, taxi, and ferry. The family run team’s care made the stay memorable, and it was clear they love their work. We spent 11 nights at Hotel Margherita for our 30th anniversary. Before we even left home, we’d received a warm welcome email and useful hotel instructions, which mattered in a small town without big city services. We arrived late, after the restaurant had closed, and staff offered us complimentary finger food and a nice drink. The hotel was spotless and orderly, including the shared areas. The equipment felt modern, from the LED TV and Nespresso machine to climate control and an exterior retractable awning. Staff were attentive and proactive: they turned our car around in the parking lot each time, and brought cappuccino at breakfast without us asking. Little things like that made the visit smooth. We also liked Praiano itself. People in the shops and locals we met along the paths and steep staircases made us feel welcome, almost as if we belonged there.

We were three couples and a 10-year-old, visiting in winter, so we didn’t get to use the pool, though it looked inviting. The hotel is well placed for both the northern and southern Amalfi Coast. Owners and staff were welcoming and looked after our needs. Rooms, hallways, and common areas were spotless, with a lovely Italian style throughout. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it.

We came in March 2026 with my parents, my wife, and our two kids. The breakfast views were stunning, some of the most beautiful I’ve seen, and the breakfast itself was outstanding. We also had an excellent dinner on the terrace, with lovely night views. Definitely go at night, even if you just have a drink. Rooms were spacious, clean, and good, and the staff were really nice. It was quiet, and prices seemed reasonable compared with nearby towns. I’d come back. The “gym” could use a little TLC. If that matters a lot to you, maybe stay elsewhere, though I managed to make it work.
