Hotel Onda Verde

Lena at the front desk made a huge difference for us. She sorted private transfers, explained the bus schedule, suggested things to do, and helped with plenty more. The restaurant’s food was the best we had in the area, especially the desserts, and the staff were lovely. Breakfast was complimentary and so good I’m still dreaming about it. Our whole group had an amazing time, and everyone we met treated us incredibly well. The views are unbeatable, and the little beach is a very short walk away. It was dreamy even in the cold part of the year when we visited. I’d return again and again.

The hotel is beautiful, but on our last night someone opened our bedroom door twice at 2 a.m. while we were asleep. I was terrified and couldn’t get back to sleep. Staff dismissed it first as “someone confused with another door,” then said it was “the wind.” The next morning I found that other doors could also be opened without keys. Management denied responsibility, blamed us, and offered only a voucher for the “emotional distress” caused. For a supposedly 4-star hotel, that lack of security and empathy is unacceptable. Avoid it if safety and customer care matter to you.

Franchino may be the best restaurant in the region. We ate there first, which might have been a mistake because everything else seemed less good afterward. It’s Michelin rated, the staff and food are amazing, and we came back twice just for dessert. The hotel’s pool area is beautiful too, with a great pool bar and massage services if you want them. Honestly, there’s enough here that you needn’t go anywhere. Praiano is much quieter than the tourist hotspots, and you can reach them by a 15-minute water taxi directly from the hotel. The journey to get here was long, but the views and experience were worth it. Staff were friendly, quick to reply, and helped us sort out issues getting to Naples. They offer car service on request. It’s a bit expensive, but worth it. Beds were a little stiff, and I’m not sure it’s the best place for kids. It feels like a magical place unlike anywhere else, and we hope to return someday. Highly recommend!

We loved the private little balcony looking over the solarium and coast, and the views were incredible. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom felt luxurious, and my husband and I really enjoyed the infinity pool and attentive pool bar service. The whole place looked like a dream. We only wish we could have stayed longer.
