We spent Christmas and New Year here, and the owners and staff were so helpful and friendly that they felt like family or close friends. It’s lovely being around such kind people who could become friends for life. This is a family run place, and you can feel the care in the little details. Everything seems carefully thought through for a comfortable stay, from the Italian design touches and practical conveniences to the homely decorations in the shared spaces. There’s a pool and sauna, plus room to dry your ski gear.

The toilets were always clean, and the services were efficient. The staff were great and happy to help with hiking tips or local logistics. It’s a very convenient campsite for getting to the centre of Prato allo Stelvio. There isn’t an outdoor pool at the campsite, but there’s a very nice large one about a 15 minute walk away. Highly recommend!

We came back for another holiday in 2023, and the staff were so helpful in making sure we got the same camping pitch we’d had the year before. They really do make campers feel welcome when they return! During our first seven day stay, the team at Camping Residence Sägemühle went out of their way to accommodate us. They moved our camper to a different pitch so we could get TV reception, and later made it easy to move it again to a pitch directly behind us before we left. The location is really convenient for walking and bike paths, and for catching a bus or train to nearby attractions. The main haupstrasse is within walking distance, with grocery shops there too. You have to visit to see what we mean. We couldn’t ask for more from a campsite like this!

We had a really good time camping with our tent, car and trailer. The staff were welcoming and attentive, everything was exceptionally clean, and we thought the restaurant food was great.

A great campsite for families. You can walk into town easily, and there’s also everything you need to spend the day right at the campsite.
