We raised our concerns with reception, hoping they’d listen or offer an apology, but they didn’t seem to care. At breakfast, our group was put in a small café with a very limited, poor meal, while other guests had a much fuller breakfast in a separate restaurant area. When I asked why and requested to see that room, the staff ignored me and turned away. A few waiters laughed while saying something in Italian. I couldn’t understand the words, but their body language came across as disrespectful. It was a really unpleasant stay, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you want a calm, respectful start to the day.

There was noise until 6 AM, and the whole room was filled with such a strong cigarette smell that I could barely breathe and couldn’t sleep at all. I absolutely don’t recommend this terrible hotel.

The reception service was very poor. At check-in, we asked about breakfast and the time changed from 06:30 to 07:00, then finally to 07:15. I paid €50 for a €48 city tax, and was told the receipt and my change would be given the next day. After breakfast, reception said I’d get the receipt after checkout when I returned the key. When I checked out and got the receipt, I asked for the €2 change. The staff member acted as if she didn’t know what I meant, even though I’d paid €50 the night before. Your staff need educating!

We stayed one night in April 2024 with our tour group, and I really can’t recommend this hotel. The reception staff were unfriendly, unhelpful, and impolite when answering questions. It was about 21°C outside, but they wouldn’t turn on the air conditioning and told us to open the windows. Mosquitoes came into the room. At breakfast, they sent us to a small room instead of the dining room. When we asked why our group was separated, the receptionist said, “Do you want to know why? Because your agency pays cheaper than the others.” That was very rude. I thought hotel rates were for rooms with breakfast or without, of course at different prices. Staying at Charme hotel was a nightmare.
