B&B La Boule de Neige

We booked by phone the same day and had no trouble. It’s managed together with Locanda Bellevue, where you check in and have a generous breakfast with local products. The room was comfortable, with a large bathroom, and cleaned adequately. The price seemed a little high, though typical for the area. We stayed one night while visiting nearby QC Terme, just a two-minute walk away. Recommended.

The owners were very kind and let us in before check-in time. Our room was clean, and breakfast was really generous. It’s close to the Pré-Saint-Didier spa, which makes it a handy spot for visiting Courmayeur and going to the spa. There’s also a free winter shuttle connecting all the ski resorts, which is a plus. Highly recommended.

The room was cold, and the ground-floor windows faced straight onto the street, so opening the curtains meant being on display to people walking by. They also told us to go to their other hotel for breakfast, so we had to head back outside. We’d paid in advance online, but arrived in heavy rain to find the B&B door locked. No one answered the intercom, just the answering machine. We went to the “Bellevue” inn, apparently managed by the same people, to find the keys. They knew nothing about my reservation, but handed us keys at random without recording who would be staying in the room, which is illegal. A year before, some glasses had been stolen from the inn they also manage. If I’d known this B&B was under the same management, I’d have booked somewhere else. Terrible management.

The only drawback was having to go to another building for breakfast. Otherwise, the rooms were lovely, decorated with mountain-style wood, clean, warm, and well kept. It’s perfectly placed for walking to the thermal baths and the charming little town center. Highly recommend.
