Hotel Bucaneve

The food was bad, and the service was too. They charged us for service on top of the dishes, and it was expensive for what we got. They don’t speak English or French either. It’s our first time here, and I’m really disappointed with the place.

The price was far too high for what we got. Even a microwaved meal cost me more than 40 euro, served by the same waiter who kept saying he was bored and wanted to go home because there was “nothing nearby.” The room walls are so thin you hear everything from neighboring rooms, including noises you really don’t want to hear while trying to sleep. Mornings were noisy too, so sleeping late wasn’t possible. At least that meant getting up for breakfast, which apparently ends at 9:30 even on weekends, according to that waiter. Staff seemed unhelpful and downbeat. They couldn’t give us basic information like breakfast hours, and we nearly missed it the first morning. When we asked about nearby mountain paths, they didn’t seem to know and we had to look on Google. Not worth the money at all.

The menu described the fish as boneless, but mine was full of bones. I politely complained and didn’t eat any of it, yet they charged the full price. We came for dinner and the place seemed nice at first. It could be so much better.

Breakfast was excellent, and I’d definitely come back. The room was on the small side, but clean and pleasant, with decorations that made the place feel like home. Lovely hotel.
