Hotel Edelweiss

The gentleman at the desk was professional and very helpful, and the whole staff made us feel welcome with their warmth and genuine helpfulness. We felt like VIPs. We slept incredibly well in cozy, warm beds, and the view from our room was breathtaking. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of treats that left us energized for the day. A comfortable place with lovely views and a great team. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a welcoming stay.

We booked a room with a balcony in advance, but the hotel changed us to a regular room. After we came back tired from hiking, the room hadn’t been cleaned, and the owner, the woman, yelled at us. It was our honeymoon, which made the treatment feel even worse. Her behavior seemed racist to us, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to non-Italian citizens. At checkout they tried to charge us extra money. I was lucky I checked everything twice. Be careful if you’re planning to stay here with your partner. Not recommended.

I liked being outside the busier spots. The area is much more relaxed and doesn’t have loads of backpackers, which was a big plus for me. You can hear the soothing rush of water behind the hotel. My room was comfortable and clean, and breakfast had a good selection that added value to the stay.

We stayed here on a motorbike tour and had good off-street parking. The rooms were clean, with great mountain views, and right beside the river. The staff were friendly and happy to speak English, even though I speak very little Italian. Highly recommend.
