We’ll definitely be back. The rooms were cozy, with gorgeous views, and the restaurant was exceptional. Breakfast had a superb, upscale buffet full of local treats. The SPA was elegant and cozy, a real treat. Service throughout was attentive, polite, and discreet, just what you’d hope for at a five-star hotel. I’d recommend this gem for a getaway with family, a partner, or friends.

The view outside was stunning, and breakfast was very good. The rooms, though, felt really old and need renovating. There was mold in the bathroom of our minisuite (see picture), so for what we paid, it just didn’t feel worth it. The thermal bath area was okay, but a bit crowded, maybe because outside customers are allowed in too.

The restaurant was amazingly good, though a bit overpriced, and we had a nice stay overall. Still, for the high price we paid, we expected more. Our room was comfy but a little dated, and we couldn’t control the heating, which left it too cold. There wasn’t even a free bottle of water. The pools were very nice, but about half the saunas didn’t work properly. On a weekend, room rates are twice the weekday price. We also paid an extra €60 for a romantic room instead of a classic one, supposedly for a tiny glimpse of the mountain along with the parking road, a hand cream kit, and four Nespresso capsules. That extra charge really wasn’t worth it.

The room was clean and comfortable, although it’s beginning to show wear. We may have been upgraded to a room on the fourth floor, and the view from there was stunning. The room was uncomfortably hot, and it would help if the hotel provided fans. With the window open, road noise was disturbing. We made great use of the spa from the day we arrived through the following day. There wasn’t really a pool, more of a long jacuzzi bath, but we enjoyed it. There were plenty of places to relax, zen spaces, a face gym, different saunas and hammam, hot pools, and refreshing showers. Breakfast was another highlight, with lots of variety and special touches. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. After dinner we played chess in the lounge, then were pleasantly surprised when someone offered us a “digestive.” There was tea, coffee, and meringues at the bar too. We’re really glad we chose this hotel and are already looking forward to returning.

They charged us 600 a night, but the only luxurious thing about this place was the price. The rooms are all in the same category, yet vary a lot in size, cleanliness, and how modern they are. Dogs can stay in rooms, but can’t go to the restaurant or certain floors. The staff were the worst I’ve encountered at a hotel. They seemed poorly trained, often knew very little about their jobs, and could be moody or rude instead of showing basic hospitality. If they’d been friendly and helpful, it might have made the place feel more welcoming, but they weren’t. People call this place luxurious, but there’s no parking or valet, no help with luggage, and only one key per room. Cleaning didn’t happen until 3 or even 4 pm, if it happened at all. There were no small towels or washcloths, the fridges vibrated so much we had to unplug them to stop the hum, and no water was provided in the rooms. It feels like a dump where they try to provide the bare minimum whenever they can. The QC brand has been failing consistently again. What a shame. Go with low expectations.
