Agriturismo Mirasole

Getting here is the hard part. The place sits at the top of a hill, and the sharp bends through the unlit woods make the evening drive really difficult. The manager is kind and helpful, and leaves a phone number in case you need anything. The room was comfortable, with a warm interior, a good bed, double pillows, and a nice bathroom. There's outdoor parking too. Breakfast isn't prepared for you, but the manager includes a coffee machine and pods, tea packets, packaged croissants, and sweet snacks in the room price. I didn't see a kettle for the tea. The minibar is separate, with prices listed above the fridge.

We needed somewhere to stay after an appointment in Castrocaro, with a double room and a way to charge our electric car. Mr. Giuseppe was very kind and helpful, and booking through the agriturismo's website cost less than using the usual search engines. We paid by credit card, with only a small extra charge for charging the car overnight on the 7kW wallbox. The room had recently been renovated and was in a stone-walled, two-story building that fit into the Apennine landscape. It was clean, pleasant, and comfortable, with a spacious, well-kept bathroom and a very comfortable bed. A small breakfast was available in the room, along with a minibar, coffee pod machine, kettle, and a selection of herbal teas. We could also enjoy a few glasses of good wine. The WiFi was open and free, though we had no trouble connecting through our mobile operator. We found the agriturismo easy to reach from Predappio via the Forlì highway exit, or from Faenza via Castrocaro. It's a 15-minute drive from the Forlì A14 exit. We'd definitely stay again if we're back in the area.

At night, the drive through the woods can make you think you've taken a wrong turn, especially when you're ready to turn back. That's where the farmhouse is, though. Follow Mr. Giuseppe's directions carefully, even if you pass signs saying "road closed" or "roadworks". The owner emailed us precise directions because we were arriving late. It's on a hill in Predappio Alta, about 10 minutes from central Predappio. The surroundings are secluded and green, a lovely fit for anyone looking for peace and quiet. Our room was beautiful and rustic, as well as clean and comfortable.

The owner warned us ahead of time about the rough road to the campsite and recommended the best way in. Some roads leading there are no longer passable. The rooms themselves were first-rate, tidy and attractive, with what you'd need for a short visit or a longer stay. The view was stunning, and every room had mosquito nets and good air conditioning. The bathrooms had modern furnishings and tiled surfaces.
