The apartment was a studio, so the bed wasn't behind a door I could lock if I went out and left my dog there. I had brought blankets and sheets for him, though, so even if he got on the bed while we slept, he wouldn't touch the property's linens. We’d stayed here before and liked it, so this time we booked four nights and asked in advance about bringing our dog. We were told it was fine. But when we arrived on Saturday, August 27th, the owner warned us that a previous guest with a dog had made her throw away all the linens. She kept telling us not to let our dog on the bed, and wouldn't listen when I explained we weren't children, would take responsibility for any damage, and had insurance to cover it. I asked for the bill and said we’d be leaving early. I told the owner I would have left right after those comments, but was staying a few days for my wife. If pets are a concern, it would be better to say no when asked than make guests feel unwelcome on arrival. At the price they charge, I can't say the quality was worth it. I won't stay here again or recommend it to anyone who asks.

The free bus makes it easy to get around the valley without a car. It leaves Casere every half hour for the villages and ski areas. The setting is spectacular, right at the end of the road in the high mountains, and the winter walk toward the end of the valley is lovely, with plenty of refuges for a break. My Heidi apartment was warm, welcoming, and well equipped, with a big terrace and a lovely view. The house is beautiful, and the owner was very kind and helpful.

The quiet and the nature around these apartments make the place feel special. My children and I come every year for asthma treatment at the Predoi climate center, and the apartments suit us well because they're suitable for allergy sufferers. It's a welcoming home, and the family who runs it is very kind.

We had a great week here at the start of August and will definitely return. The apartment had everything we needed, was spotless, and came with a breathtaking view. The hostess was very kind.
