Locanda Rocchetta-Premilcuore

We paid 100€ for a room for two, breakfast included, though breakfast was mostly packaged products. The room wasn't properly cleaned, the lights were dim, there was no air conditioning, and only one of the three outlets worked. The bathroom was so cramped that shower water splashed into the sink, and the shower gel was ridiculously tiny. The showerhead holder was the only thing that worked.

Breakfast was good, especially the homemade cakes, and the New Year's Eve dinner at the restaurant was good too. After a trek, we came back for a snack and the woman there made us tortelli alla lastra, a local specialty. We were a group of 30 for New Year's Eve, so we probably put the staff under pressure, but they stayed friendly and helpful. The rooms are a little dated, which is understandable for a two-star hotel, and I slept well. I do think shower screens would be better than curtains, since the rooms for three or four people can end up like lakes.

The warm, comfortable rooms were a nice part of a great stay, and the New Year's Eve dinner and breakfast were both outstanding for their organization, flavor, variety, creativity, and local character. I came with a large trekking association group for the dinner and overnight stay. The owner was genuinely lively, kind, and attentive, and did everything she could to make us comfortable. I'd definitely return, even for a romantic weekend, with scenic spots such as the little waterfalls nearby.

We had dinner here one evening and really enjoyed the chef's cooking. We stayed three nights and were welcomed with kindness and helpfulness. The room was spacious and nicely equipped, and while the bathroom was a little dated, it was large and had everything we needed. I'll come back.
