Hotel Le Palme

What spoiled the stay for me was the location opposite the oil industry, which the hotel description doesn't mention. We were lucky the wind was blowing the other way, or it would have smelled bad. We spent time by the pool because swimming is prohibited along the whole coast, though we saw adults and children at the beaches as we drove past. The place itself is beautiful, with an entrance opening onto a lovely garden and a huge, old tree. The rooms are bright, pleasant, and spacious, and the bathroom next to the room was clean. The reception staff were kind and helpful. The restaurant food was good and portions were generous, but the selection was very limited, especially at lunch. It could be looked after and managed better, but the location is terrible.

Breakfast was disappointing, there was nothing left. The building is old and poorly maintained. They sold it to me as a 4-star hotel, but it doesn't even deserve one star.

The pizzeria and restaurant are open to everyone, with friendly staff and quick service. Saturday nights have karaoke with Salvino and Lucia, a really fun, lively band. I got to visit both places.

The staff were professional, but everything else was completely misrepresented. The photos weren't truthful, and there wasn't a single flower anywhere on the property. The wellness centre was closed, and the old building had decaying 80s furniture. Even in October, the pool was full of black, putrid water. If they call it a pension, fine, but otherwise this place should be avoided completely.
