Casa Bormioli Maison de charme

Casa Bormioli has such a warm, homely feel, and the decor is full of interesting pieces the well-travelled host has collected from around the world. Breakfast on the terrace each morning was magical, especially the local Lingue dolci di Procida, mmm, so tasty! It’s an easy walk to the port and Marine Corricella. A lovely, clean place for an authentic stay.

The rooms were sparkling clean, and the hosts were friendly and accommodating. We loved the homely atmosphere and all the comfortable places to sit. It made for a blissful Easter getaway.

The hotel itself was beautiful and full of decorative touches, but dealing with the owner really hurt our experience. Before we arrived, she questioned our group about the reservation even though her email had said everything was set and payment had been made in full. Once we got inside, she made it clear that if we did anything she disliked, we’d be out. She came across as arrogant and very particular. When we left after one night, she said our problems were because we didn’t speak Italian well. She has also claimed in another review that we didn’t pay her, which isn’t true. Maybe it’s because of her age. Honestly, she seems to have a problem with anyone who doesn’t feel indebted to her and the hotel. I have no reason to lie. I just don’t want anyone else to have such a bad experience on this beautiful island.

There’s a unique feel to this place, and the rooms and sitting areas are spacious, quiet, and decorated with real care. We also enjoyed the shared breakfast out on the terrace. It was a great find for the price, and I’d happily stay again.
