The location is fantastic and unrivalled. Waking up to those views from the balcony is lovely, and the restaurant on the dock beside the boats feels magical. This hotel means a lot to me because I got engaged there, but on our honeymoon visit this year, it felt like it needed some care and attention soon if it's to keep its 4-star status. The white walls, natural fibres, and casual coastal look are chic, though now a little tired. The walls weren't freshly white, our sofa was stained, and the wooden weave chairs were fraying with age. The bathroom felt dated, its soap dispenser and toilet seat were broken, and there was a persistent damp smell. We mentioned it at the front desk. Service was okay, but didn't feel like 4-star service. It felt transactional. The restaurant staff remembered us and my proposal, and were very sweet, but the hotel itself didn't acknowledge our return, which was a shame. I still have a soft spot for San Michele and want to come back. This review comes from caring about the hotel. After staying at the amazing Il Monasterio in Ischia, which is only 3-star but should be 4-star minimum, I think San Michele needs to be careful not to lose its 4-star status. Its location and my personal history there may not be enough to bring us back on their own.

The bay views are the best, and the place feels far more authentic than Capri. It isn’t pristine, but I appreciated that much more than another same-old Soho House type of experience. The staff were obliging: I asked for a large sea bass and they went out and bought one, even though it wasn’t on the menu. The food was great, especially the sublime lemon dessert. Our son often ordered off menu too.

We stayed in a beautiful suite with a balcony over Corricella’s colourful port. There were sunbeds and a hammock on the terrace too. The room was simple but stunning, and everyone at the hotel was so welcoming and friendly. It’s a fantastic boutique hotel, and we’ll certainly come back.

Room 701 was lovely, with a great view from its perch on the seventh floor. There are plenty of good local restaurants just below. This sweet three-star hotel is in Procida’s best spot, overlooking a fishing village. We stayed three nights and came away feeling rejuvenated.

The view is wonderful, and the location in Corricella is astonishing. Getting to the ferry is okay if you can manage the steep road. The staff were nice, and our spacious room was comfortable, though the floor was a little dusty. The hotel has seven floors, but the lift only serves three of them. Breakfast is on floor 0, while the highest floor reached by lift is floor 3, so it isn’t suitable for wheelchair users or strollers.
