Lantana Resort Hotel & Apartments

We were four people, including two kids, in one of the apartments. The room was good and had what we needed, including cooking equipment. Hotel staff were really nice, especially when helping us book day trips. The location worked well too: we could walk to the city center, and reach several nice beaches by car or hotel shuttle. The beds definitely need refurbishing or replacing. With so many mosquitoes waiting outside the windows, mosquito nets would be a good addition.

The surroundings were what impressed me most: a beautifully kept garden with flowers and activities for children, spotless grounds, and a marvelous sea color. The hotel itself is very beautiful and well maintained. But the staff and service left me unimpressed. Check-in didn't feel welcoming, and after seven days there, nobody asked how my stay had been at checkout. The breakfast crew greeted us, but they were extremely busy and often couldn't stop to ask how we wanted our coffee. They work hard, probably 10-12 hours a day across all three meal services. Fresh brewed coffee and hot water in pots at breakfast would let guests serve themselves and could ease that workload. Breakfast was the same every day, with very few options. Eggs came scrambled or boiled only. The scrambled ones had milk in them and looked almost like soup; the boiled eggs were usually cold and didn't seem fresh, probably straight from the fridge. One morning, a waiter kindly got me a fried egg at no extra charge, but it looked like the chef had tried to murder it. Dinner starting at 8 PM shocked me. People with small children don't eat at 8 PM, they go to bed then. At that point I would have chosen the apartment option without breakfast included. I hope management can improve these small but important details.

We were so glad we found Lantana. Our 10-day stay with our seven-month-old was wonderful, and the resort was very baby and child friendly. The apartment was perfect, the staff were exceptional, the pool was beautifully set up and maintained, and the food was excellent. We were happy to come and even sadder to leave.

My husband and I loved our four nights at Lantana Resort while visiting Sardinia. The room was serviced every day, and our terrace had a lovely garden view. There was plenty of seating by the well-kept pool, so nobody needed to rush out in the morning to claim a spot. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of options, and we enjoyed strolling around the grounds. We didn't have children, but there seemed to be plenty for them to do. The location was ideal: we could walk to Pula, and the free hotel shuttle took us to and from the beach, which was also only a 20-minute walk. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We really didn't want to leave!
