Sant'Efis Hotel

The little beach was intimate and never crowded, just right for quiet time by the sea. The hotel itself was peaceful and spotlessly clean, from the rooms to the shared spaces, with a beautiful garden full of flowers, palms, and quiet spots to relax. The calm made it easy to switch off from everyday stress. The staff were warm and professional throughout, and the food came in a wide variety of fresh, flavorful dishes. The drinks, especially the cocktails, were expertly made and delicious to enjoy at sunset. If you're after a quiet escape in a lovely setting with great service, this place fits. I can't wait to return.

The pools were lovely, with plenty of seats around them and on the beach, and everything was very clean. Breakfast was excellent, though it would've been nicer to have it in the restaurant overlooking the sea instead of near the pool with lots of wasps. The common area and lounge were lovely too. Check-in was painless, and the reception staff were nice. Our room was clean, but too small. The bed and pillows were excellent and comfortable, although noise carried from neighboring rooms. The little outdoor seating area overlooked the car park and wasn't private. The bar looked lovely but felt dead. Getting a drink was unacceptably slow, sometimes impossible. The young Romanian guy was nice but always seemed stressed and run off his feet, while a bald-headed guy was rude to us and other guests and reluctant to serve us. It was a nice hotel, but expensive compared with others of a similar standard.

The grounds are lovely, the hotel looks stunning, and we genuinely enjoyed the food. One woman on staff was warm and professional throughout, and deserves recognition for how well she treated guests. Sadly, the service from several others made us feel like an inconvenience from the minute we arrived. Our room's air conditioning was another letdown. Reception initially blamed it on us booking the wrong room type for two adults and a 5-year-old, but the actual problem was dirty filters. They were cleaned, then the unit stopped working again soon after. We eventually gave up asking for a fix, which shouldn't happen at a hotel of this standard. The first person we dealt with was a heavily tattooed male receptionist whose aloof manner and lack of courtesy set a poor tone. Another male staff member seemed more interested in strutting around than helping, and came across as dismissive and unprofessional. With better training and a rethink of the frontline service, this beautiful place could deliver the luxury experience it promises.

The gardens felt like an oasis, leading down to clear water and a white-sand beach, and every little detail seemed thoughtfully done. I loved the flowers' scent and the calm, elegant atmosphere, with a lovely sense of Sardinian culture throughout. We spent a week at this beautiful hotel and I was completely enchanted. Don Carlo served excellent food with wonderful service and amazing bay views. The staff were kind, attentive, warm, and helpful. Such a peaceful place to unwind.
