Albergo Punta Ala

We spent four days at Hotel Punta Ala at the end of September, after touring Italy. The staff were cheerful, attentive, and incredibly friendly, and everywhere was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was a daily highlight, with delicious regional products. We couldn't find anything to complain about.

The food and materials used in the rooms were top quality. Even the sheets and towels felt like five-star hotel bedding, and the rate covered sheets and towels, including beach towels, which would usually cost extra in a residence. This is a residence with hotel-style accommodation, though beach towels aren't included. Last summer, in 2023, my niece and I stayed for twenty days in a two-room apartment on the first floor. We had complete peace and quiet, and she liked having her independence and time with friends in the garden. There's also an internal laundry room for guests only, and the place welcomes pets. While we were there, one guest had two lovely cats and a family had a dog. Dimora Punta Ala used to be Hotel Punta Ala for 30 years. In spring 2023 it was completely modernized, despite post-COVID building costs and no bonuses, as a nod to the owners. They installed individual split air conditioning in every room and area, added an elevator, redid the wooden window frames and fitted mosquito nets. They removed the carpeting and ceiling fans, and added curtains, blackout blinds, shutters, LED lighting, flat-screen satellite TVs, and Wi-Fi, including Wi-Fi for people working from home or homeschooling. Two bathrooms were renovated to make them suitable for guests with disabilities; the others were in good shape and left as they were. I'll definitely come back this summer, hopefully in June or September. They know what they're doing, and August already has limited availability. Sometimes a change deserves appreciation. I slept very well in a spacious, comfortable, recently renovated room, tucked away in the quiet pine forest. The location is excellent. At Dimora, the lady who makes a simple breakfast in the morning welcomed me warmly and was kind and helpful. I'll definitely return. The bathroom, though, feels dated and out of place beside the new room, and I'd strongly recommend renovating it. Caterina

It's a convenient, quiet location, and the staff are friendly and very helpful. Their hours are limited, since this is more of a residence than a traditional hotel. Some parts have been renovated, but there's still more to improve. I appreciated that they welcome pets, and I'd stay again.
