Masseria Nonna Angela

The setting was sensational, with centuries-old olive trees and such a peaceful atmosphere that I could finally let go of work worries. We spent three nights relaxing and admiring the simple beauty of Salento. Signora Angela welcomed my partner and me with so much care, as if we were two fragile little jewels. Her attention to order and every small detail amazed us as soon as we arrived, and thanks to her, the Masseria is impeccable. I’m grateful for that wonderful welcome.

Angela and her family were incredibly kind, and happy to suggest places to eat and explore. We stayed at Masseria Nonna Angela for 7 days. The room was clean and cozy, and the terrace was gorgeous. It’s quiet, only 3 minutes from central Putignano, and well placed for trips to Alberobello, Bari, and Matera. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was the one drawback, though there’s a coffee machine and some basic things in the fridge, and Putignano is just five minutes away for all kinds of tastings. The setting at Masseria Nonna Angela was beautiful, with olive groves and orchards stretching across the Muggia landscape, and wonderful peace and quiet. The rooms were comfortable, nicely furnished, airy, and had what we needed. We were welcomed with real warmth and care for our well-being. Many thanks to Angela and her parents for making us feel at home.

What stayed with us most was how welcoming the whole family was. They helped us plan our days, let us try local products, and took a genuine interest in us. Masseria Nonna Angela is surrounded by olive groves and a few trulli, and the quiet was so restful that I slept better than at home. Our room was extremely clean, with a large balcony, and the house is about 6 minutes by car from the center. Everything went smoothly, and I’d highly recommend staying here.
