Porta Barsento B&B

We were lucky to find a last-minute opening at this lovely property. It was brand new, clean, and very well cared for, with an excellent location. The owner was kind and extremely helpful, and we had a great stay. Highly recommended.

Mr. Pasquale, who looks after the rooms, was incredibly kind and helpful. The apartment was bright, clean, and nicely furnished with new pieces. Upstairs, the bedroom opens onto a lovely terrace with a table, chairs, and two sun loungers. Downstairs are the bathroom, kitchenette, and living area with a very comfortable sofa bed. Breakfast is included in the price at the Barcento bar of the same name, and comes as a croissant with coffee, espresso, or cappuccino.

The only tricky part is the stairs. Still, the renovation is lovely and keeps the place feeling traditional. Just beyond Porta Barsento in the historic center, this charming little apartment has exposed stone, old stone floors, and cleverly used space. I lived in a trullo as a child, so staying here felt like stepping back in time. It’s clean, well kept, and simple, just as tradition should be. The welcome was warm and attentive, and breakfast is available at Bar Barsento. I like it!

The management was wonderfully friendly, and the apartment had all the basics covered: linens, wifi, a fridge, and air conditioning. It was clean and welcoming, tucked into Putignano's restricted traffic zone. I booked that same day and they were incredibly accommodating. We'd definitely come back.
