Trulli Terra Magica

Michaela was such a lovely host, and we had an amazing breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable. The weather meant we couldn’t use the pool, but we still had a great stay :)

We loved the place and Micaela, who was a wonderful host. She made lots of suggestions for places to visit and eat, and every one was great. Nothing was too much trouble. A fantastic stay, highly recommend.

We’d definitely come back. The place suited us perfectly, and Micaela was a lovely host, always ready with ideas for places to see and eat. Breakfast was included, continental, and more than enough to get us started, served from 8 to 10am. We stayed in a one bedroom trulli with its own pool. It felt private, and the pool was a welcome cool-down after a day out. There’s a well stocked outdoor kitchen with a BBQ and a two hob induction cooker, which we loved using each evening since we prefer cooking to eating out. The bed was comfortable, and there’s air conditioning and a dehumidifier, both useful because the air can feel damp and nights get warm. The bathroom is modern, with plenty of very hot water. The valley view was nice, though the view of the town opposite wasn’t the best. The town itself isn’t much to write home about, but the nearby sights make this a good base. Grotto Di Castellana, in the next town, was amazing, with a beautiful 3km underground walk at a cool 18 degrees. Alberobello is 15 minutes away, Locorotondo 25, and Poligano a Mare 35. Bring mosquito spray and deet, as there are mosquitoes around.

Micha was a lovely owner, though I’m not sure I’ve got her name spelled right. Her tips for things to see and do in Puglia led us to some gems we might otherwise have missed. We stayed at their peaceful farmhouse in October 2024, close to several towns we visited. I highly recommend this lovely B&B.
