Hotel Trionfal

The hotel has been renovated and is very clean, with friendly staff and excellent Wi-Fi. The price is more than fair. We’ll come back.

It was a bad work trip. I feel sorry for the reception staff, who were all very polite, but the stay was terrible and I’ll avoid this hotel in future. I was there for three nights, from April 14 to April 17. The location is convenient and easy to get to, with plenty of parking. There’s no elevator. When we arrived, they gave us the TV remote, the air-conditioning control and the room key, but didn’t tell us when breakfast was served. The room was average and not very clean: there was dirt behind and in front of the bathroom fixtures, and the floor wasn’t clean either. I’m used to that when I travel for work. The first night was okay apart from someone, I think from reception, vacuuming at 10 PM. The next morning there was no breakfast at all. I follow a specific diet and had to fast, except for some drinkable coffee. The following evening, the reception staff were kind again, but there was unbelievable noise all evening from people yelling in the next room, followed by what sounded like passion. I’m young too and understand, but people should be respectful when they’re not at home. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels and didn’t complain, but this was awful, to say the least.

Suite 501 was spacious and nicely furnished, with a comfortable bed, large shower, pleasant bathroom and a lovely balcony. It seemed ideal for a romantic break. But we chose it especially for the hot tub, and couldn’t use it because the water from the tap was freezing. We tried filling it several times and called reception, but they said they didn’t know what was wrong, apologized, and couldn’t send anyone to check because they were busy. No one had explained how to operate the tub either. That turned what should have been a relaxing part of the evening into a disappointment. The stay was acceptable otherwise, but if we’d known about the fault, we’d probably have booked a regular room and saved money. I can’t recommend this property to anyone looking for a truly relaxing suite, especially when the malfunction was never fixed and our concern seemed to leave them indifferent.

We were there for more than a week. The hotel was quiet and very clean, and the staff were excellent. It’s near the main axis, so you can get everywhere easily. We’ll definitely return.
