Villa Furoa

The kids especially loved spending our mornings in the clean pool, which was a good size for us. We stayed at Villa Furoa for two weeks in the Rosa Room, and found the room and bathroom spacious, comfortable, and clean. The hosts were lovely, friendly, and always ready to help. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including homemade cakes and other sweet items, cold cuts, eggs, beans, yogurt, jams, cereal, cornetto, coffee, tea, juice, and fruit. There’s an MD Market right beside the villa for everyday shopping. Its gastronomia also sells ready-made hot food such as lasagna, roast chicken and potatoes, cutlets, and other dishes. The villa worked well as a base for trips to beaches from nearby Poetto to Villasimius, Costa Rei, Chia, Tuerreda, and Pula/Nora. Getting around is much easier with a car. Public transport wasn’t very reliable for visiting the beaches, nearby towns, or Cagliari. As a base for exploring, though, staying with Barbara and Fulvio worked really well, and we’d highly recommend them. The house is beautiful and tastefully furnished, with lovely suites where we slept well. Barbara and Fulvio were wonderful hosts, generous with their help and local knowledge, and had suggestions for places to eat and visit. Breakfast included cold meats, eggs, fresh rolls, cakes, biscuits, and cereal. We also enjoyed relaxing outside, where there were plenty of chairs and sun beds around the pool.

Usually four nights is our limit in one place because we like to move around, but we really didn’t want to leave Villa Furoa. The villa is lovely, and Fulvio and Barbara are wonderfully warm hosts who were happy to help with anything. We stayed in the Rosa suite, which was just right. It had its own entrance, everything we needed had been thought of, and the bed was sooo comfortable. The location just outside the city was handy, with a couple of restaurants within walking distance. The beaches a short drive away are incredible. A really good B&B, with a very spacious room and bathroom and the kind of quality you’d expect from a 4* hotel. The friendly owner Fabio takes good care of the place, and the whole south of Sardegna is easy to reach from here. Highly recommended 🧡
