Villa Vi

The room was clean and very modern, though quite worn in places: the electric blind had fallen from the ceiling, and the built-in fridge was hard to open. Noise came through the doors from the busy road and the neighbors' dogs and chickens. Breakfast was basic, with six boiled eggs and no extra batch when more people were eating. The location was convenient for Cagliari and the beach, but I didn't feel the stay was worth the price. We arrived around 9:30 pm and were shown a room where a fallen ceiling light stopped the door from opening properly. We were moved to a room without the private garden we had booked, then asked for another change and ended up upstairs with a shared balcony. I later realized we had been told only one garden room was available, although there were several rooms, and the first room shown wasn't the one we had booked. It felt like a trick to get us to book. The late knock asking for payment also felt rude, since we'd already undressed and were getting ready for bed.

The toilet flush kept sticking, and after flushing, water came up in the shower. The whole room smelled. It was meant to be soundproof, but I could hear crickets all night.

The room, pool, breakfast and service were all just right. I'd definitely recommend staying at Villa Vi. Thanks for everything!

The building was a lovely surprise in an unexpected spot, with quiet rooms that feel thoughtfully designed. The pool was great, and Sylvia made the morning service especially good. A great place to stay.
