Racale is a lovely little town, a few kilometers from the coast. If you have a car, it’s a good base for exploring Salento from Leuca to Punta Prosciutto, while still enjoying a peaceful stay. At Antica Locanda Porta a Terra di Racale, Mr. Mino and his staff were so helpful that I’m deeply grateful. The lady was incredibly sweet, truly an angel. They made me feel like a guest before a tourist. Many thanks, I’ll keep you in my heart.

The friendly, thoughtful staff and the owner, Mr. Metrangolo, made this small Salento restaurant feel comfortable and harmonious. The waitress especially was very polite, kind, and always smiling. It’s tucked into a historic alley in quiet Racale. We spent a week of our vacation here and had a wonderful time. Give it a try!

The restaurant next door was a lovely surprise, with typical Salento dishes presented with real care. We came across this place by chance during a short stop in Salento and, although we hadn’t booked, Mr. Mino quickly found us a room. Its tasteful furnishings and spotless condition impressed us. Highly recommended!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the Apulian-style food was excellent. It’s a peaceful place for a relaxing weekend away from city traffic and chaos, with a handy location for getting to the Ionian beaches.

The restaurant has a good wine cellar, with excellent wines on display, and its style fits the hotel. The typical Salento food was excellent and plentiful, and the staff were dedicated to making guests feel welcome. My room was bright and spacious, a good fit for a relaxing stay.
