Naturhotel Rainer

We had a perfect February stay 🤩. Great atmosphere, food, and spa, and everything felt natural and eco-friendly. Pets are welcome too. Definitely recommended!

We booked through the travel agency travellzoo, expecting a room with wooden walls, the smell of zirben, and a valley view, as shown in all the hotel’s advertised photos. We upgraded to a “family deluxe” room for our two children, to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday and our 10th anniversary. We had shared the occasion with the hotel two months earlier, but were given a “deluxe!” room at the back of the hotel, with a “wall” of berg 10 m away from the window and a balcony off the restroom. We asked to change rooms because these four days were very special to us. We weren’t upgraded, and the hotel also refused to move us because of the price difference and because it was fully booked. The rooms are sold with a “Deluxe!” image, but guests aren’t told beforehand that a suite or an additional payment is needed for a good front valley view. If you book through travel agencies like bookingcom at a special reduced price or with offers, be careful: you may be given a room other guests don’t prefer or like. That’s unacceptable for customers and guests, and shameful hotel policy. If you book through agencies under special conditions, such as no money back and payment after reservation, be prepared to get a room the hotel officials consider nothing special. An expensive lesson learned.

The modern spa is a relaxing place, and the surroundings are lovely for hiking. The hotel is beautiful, and the staff are helpful and nice.

We may have found a diamond among all those rocks 🧡. It’s quiet and peaceful out in nature, with very friendly people, professional staff, and wonderful food 😋.
