Arcade Apartments

I booked Arcade Apartments for August 10 to 12 and am currently in Spain. We’re due to check in late, between 9 and 10 PM. I messaged through booking.com but haven’t heard back, so I’m posting here to ask how to collect the keys.

The apartment is comfortable, nicely located in the center, and the agency staff are very kind. But cleanliness was a problem from the moment we arrived: there was dirty toilet paper stuck to the sink counter. The shower glass doesn’t seal properly, so after a few minutes the bathroom floods, and the lights kept switching off on their own. That’s dangerous when you’re stepping out of the shower and could slip. Even on the third floor with the windows shut, every nighttime conversation came through. They ask guests to leave their shoes off, but the floor wasn’t any cleaner than our soles. You’ll need to be adaptable here.

We arrived at 10:40 AM after traveling 250 km, though check-in was at 2:30 PM. The day before, we’d agreed to call half an hour before arriving so someone could open the door and explain the ZTL (limited traffic zone). We did that, but got no answer to our calls or messages for the next four hours. We ended up booking somewhere else, and they never got back to us. 1☆ is too much. BE CAREFUL.

I spent two nights with my girlfriend in a very nice, spacious room at Via Portici 29. It cost €252 in total.
