The resident dog was a real treasure. It came to meet us at the car and escorted us to reception. We spent five nights at this beautiful winery, with lovely scenery, attractive interiors, and a wonderfully cozy country-house feel in the rooms. The staff were exceptionally friendly. Breakfast was made with care, and every request was handled quickly. We highly recommend it.

Podere Terreno alla Via della Volpaia is a great base for exploring the nearby villages, with so much to do that there never seems to be enough time. The landscape is breathtaking, and staying here gives you a real feel for rural life in Italy. The hosts are hands-on, warm, and welcoming, and make you feel like family. You can tour an authentic vineyard, learn to cook traditional dishes, then share a meal and make connections with other people. Meals use ingredients grown on the farm, and the fresh produce is delicious. They also sell their own olive oil and wine, so you can take a little of the experience home.

Cristina and her staff really go out of their way to help you relax and enjoy your stay. The place is clean, warm, and welcoming, and Cristina also arranges cooking classes you can join. A great spot for visiting Tuscany.

The dinners, served about every three nights, were authentic, home-cooked, and delicious. Breakfast was reliable, with both sweet and savory choices, and they were happy to accommodate dietary restrictions. Cristina also ran a private cooking class in their professional kitchen. We made traditional dishes that were served at dinner later, which made it extra special. The wine tasting was fun and informative, and taught us more about the farm’s history and wines. My husband and I spent five unforgettable honeymoon days at Podere Terreno. Cristina was kind, knowledgeable, and always ready to help. She made us feel like family. We enjoyed horseback riding a 30-minute drive away and exploring a scenic trail for an hour. There were also lovely places around the property to relax with a glass of wine or play fetch with their sweet dog, Dex, who won us over quickly. Meeting guests from all over was an unexpected pleasure. Everyone was friendly and helped us practice Italian, so it felt like a cultural exchange. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the Tuscan countryside. Everything worked, and we especially appreciated the nice shower after full days out. We left feeling part of a new family, and only wished we could have stayed longer. Cristina and Podere Terreno made our honeymoon special, and we hope to return.

Cristina was so thoughtful about what we needed on our first trip with our three-month-old. My wife, our baby, and I were there for five nights for friends’ wedding nearby. She was flexible about the timing of our lunch and dinner requests, and even drove out late at night to get emergency medication for my wife. Nepi also deserves a mention. Each morning he made us a wonderful breakfast, including special gluten-free dishes for my coeliac wife. The room was clean, spacious, and quiet, just right for our family. Cristina and Nepi’s kindness and hospitality made the stay. Grazie mille!
