Horse House

We only had two nights here, which felt too short. The area was wonderfully quiet, and there were several places to sit outside, both by the house and on the terrace. Our little apartment was thoughtfully furnished and had everything we needed. The host welcomed us warmly and shared useful ideas for exploring nearby. Breakfast ingredients were provided, along with olive oil, salt, and pepper, so making other meals was easy too. We’d happily recommend it.

The owner was so kind and ready to help, and we’re already thinking about coming back. It’s a clean, well-kept house in a peaceful spot, with outdoor areas where you can relax and look toward Mount Etna.

After a year of work, I came back to Hourse House for a quiet week in nature and to recharge. I had my own car and could come and go freely, while the silence and closeness to nature made it easy to unwind. Diego was discreet but always attentive, and his knowledge of the area meant his suggestions helped me make the most of the stay. His wife was lovely too, and I hope to return soon. I’d stayed here before, so I knew what to expect, but it still felt like home. I need my independence, and this magical place gave me the freedom to put my heart and soul into it. Diego is both the owner and a friend, always ready with useful information about places to see around Ragalna and beyond. He knows the area inside out. I left promising to come back next year. I also met some people from Ragalna. They’re kind-hearted and appreciate a simple life, which makes sense in a magical town of just 4,000 people. I arrived toward the end of November and found the house warm, with radiators and air conditioning, plus everything needed to relax and recharge. I’m keeping my first review because I still mean it. Hourse House is a peaceful place with good energy. Thanks again, Diego.

Our son was especially taken with the horses, and we loved how clean and cozy the accommodation was. The kitchen had everything we needed, and breakfast was delicious. Diego was easy to contact and very helpful throughout. It’s a great base for exploring Mount Etna and the nature around it. We felt right at home and would love to return.
