We stopped here for the restaurant, and the views were beautiful. The staff were friendly, and the cozy place serves delicious, flavorful traditional food from the Ragusa Province outback. Worth a stop if you want to explore the food of Sicily’s southeast coast.

The place was really quiet, and parking was easy thanks to the large area. We had an excellent holiday, and the food was amazing and very tasty.

Make sure your sat-nav is set to the address at the junction of SP37 and SP81. I went to Balcone Mediterraneo Agriturismo for lunch on Wednesday, and the new management team were enthusiastic. The restaurant was packed with locals, which felt like a very good sign, and the traditional Sicilian meal turned into an epic four-hour experience. If you’re short on time, they can accommodate that, but I’d call or email ahead to confirm a reservation. There are also six self-catering rooms if you’re thinking of staying.

We came across this place by chance and had a lovely dinner. The food was delicious, and the service was both friendly and professional. I’d recommend stopping in for lunch or dinner, with a reservation advisable. Well worth it!
