The owner was always ready to help and gave us lots of genuinely useful information. We loved the welcoming, clean B&B, with its balcony over the valley and terrace looking out at the Duomo dome. It ended up being the best place we stayed on our whole Sicily trip. The location is ideal for visiting Ibla. Thank you!

I was taken in by the positive reviews, but I wouldn’t return. The location is lovely and central, especially the terrace, and the room was just about okay. The double bed was two single mattresses that came apart during the night, which was uncomfortable. The closet creaked a lot, and the air conditioning barely worked, so there was a very noisy fan instead. We stayed five nights. When we asked about cleaning, even offering to pay extra, we were told this kind of place doesn’t provide it. In the B&Bs I’ve stayed at, cleaning was daily. We only got one extra set of towels after asking, even though a change every other day would seem appropriate for five days in August, especially during COVID. We emptied the bin ourselves once and took the rubbish to the public bins. When we arrived, the water supply had failed, so we asked for a bottle of water, at least to freshen up. They did give us one, but it was three-quarters used. During COVID, that just wasn’t acceptable. Finally, an agreement made over the phone wasn’t kept. I now understand why there’s only one review from 2020 onward.

We stayed here in July 2020, and found new, clean rooms waiting for us. The owners were exceptionally kind and hospitable, ready with information about attractions and places to see, and happy to accommodate requests. Their aperitif of local products came with a unique view and is well worth trying. Ragusa and Ibla are wonderful, and anyone visiting Sicily should spend a few days there.

Renato, the young man running the place, was consistently courteous and helpful, with the ease of an experienced innkeeper. Breakfast was delicious, and we could enjoy it on the spacious terrace. The room was beautifully furnished and immaculately clean, and the location is unique, just a few steps from the cathedral. Everything was perfect.
