Waking up to birdsong gives you that real countryside feeling. We just got back from a holiday at Casa Vacanze Ilice and would happily recommend it. It's a great base for sightseeing, and Marina di Ragusa beach is a 10-minute drive away. Our apartment was spacious and had what we needed for cooking, including a good-sized fridge, an oven, and utensils. The pool is amazing.

Casa Vacanze Ilice was a lovely find, with two wonderful sisters running the place. The apartment is in an old farmhouse, peaceful and equipped with every comfort, including a swimming pool. It's only a few kilometers from the most beautiful Sicilian Baroque towns. Outside, we were surrounded by dry stone walls, grazing cows, and blue sky, a little glimpse of the past in the wild countryside. The highlight was an evening at the home of two elderly farmers. We had fresh ricotta, cheeses made from the milk of award-winning cows, bread from their own oven, and delicious scaccia.

This is my second holiday here, and I'll certainly come back again. The location is beautiful and peaceful, and the sisters Maria and Costanza were impeccably welcoming.

The pool was my favorite part. It's a beautiful place to unwind with the family, and the quiet and scenery are what make it stand out.
