La Casa del Gelsomino

The sun terrace is the real highlight, with its one-off pool, spa pool, and well planned places to lounge or sit. From there you get the full 180-degree panorama. La Casa del Gelsomino sits inside two joined houses that look plain from outside, but indoors it's full of warm hospitality and clever, homespun design. There are four rooms, all on the small side and fairly described as three-star rooms. Breakfast is very generous and thoughtfully served by a family member in a welcoming way. If a five-star room is what you need, this probably isn't the place, but otherwise La Casa del Gelsomino is a real treat. Grazie!

We had one of the best rooms of our Sicily stay, with a beautiful bathroom. The location was great, and Lisa was awesome, even driving us to the train station when we left. Everyone was kind and attentive. The backyard pool and jacuzzi were lovely in good weather, and breakfast was the best we had, especially the homemade jam and pistachio cream.

The garden has a nice view, and the staff were really friendly. Our room was very clean and felt safe, and we slept well. Parking worked out okay, but you need to park about a five-minute walk from the hotel, and it's free.

We had a wonderful stay at the end of October. The jacuzzi and natural pool were great for relaxing, and breakfast was the best we had in Italy. Even with gluten or lactose restrictions, there were delicious pastries and cheeses. The room and bathroom were clean and tastefully decorated, with a comfortable bed. The location is just steps from nice restaurants, while still being in a quiet, solemn quarter.
