Le Luci Su Ibla

The thick old walls keep the heat out so well that, with 33 degrees outside, we didn’t need to turn on the air conditioning. The place was very clean, hospitality was superb, and there was parking nearby. The location was perfect.

The hosts were lovely and helpful, and the rooms were clean, tidy, cozy, and spacious, with lovely views. A great place for a pleasant holiday.

We were welcomed by such kind and helpful staff, who looked after us throughout the stay. They even gave us a map of the historic center and a list of the best restaurants. Our room was delightful, well furnished, and welcoming. I highly recommend it!

Andrea went out of his way to help us, from pointing us to the right parking spot when we arrived to giving us a ride back on his motorbike as a goodbye. He also recommended having a drink and charcuterie on the steps on the Ragusa hill overlooking Ibla. They provide a cushion to sit on and a crate for a table, and we were lucky enough to see a magnificent red moonrise. Ragusa is stunning. Our room was fantastic, with a balcony looking over the hills and valley. It had exposed stone walls, high-quality materials, and a lovely new vaulted bathroom. We’d booked the room with the rooftop terrace, but this one was still superb. Breakfast was the best we had during our whole stay in Sicily, and the bar was already set high: fresh local fruit and delicious artisanal Sicilian pastries.
