I stayed in the standard studio, which had a comfortable double bed, air conditioning, a shower bathroom, and a small kitchen with the utensils needed to make dinner. There was also a little table and chairs outside, nice for catching the cooler evening air. The room, pool, and shared spaces were all clean and well looked after. On a very hot day, Davide welcomed me with cold tea and a warm facecloth, and he was a lovely host with useful suggestions for the area. The place is out in the countryside, so you’ll need a car, but it’s easy to reach Ragusa and sights like Donnafugata castle, Marina di Ragusa, Modica, Scicli, and some nature reserves. If you want a peaceful base for a few days exploring, this is a great choice. I’d highly recommend Mastro Vanni and hope to return!

The hosts at Mastro Vanni were welcoming, friendly, and ready to help whenever needed. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and our clean, well-equipped apartment stayed clean throughout our visit. It was a wonderful stay from start to finish. From here, you can easily explore the rest of east and south Sicily, with Mastro Vanni near Ragusa. I’d recommend booking it if you’re planning a trip to Sicily.

We could bring our cats, which was a real plus. Our room was spacious and had a kitchen and terrace, and there’s on-site parking and a good-sized pool for a swim. Breakfast was delicious and worth the €10 a day. Davide was a wonderful host, always ready to help. It’s a peaceful place near nature, close to Ragusa, Modica, and Scicli, while still away from the busy city center. A lovely spot for a relaxing holiday, and we’d be happy to come back soon. Definitely recommended!

Breakfast with the masseria cats watching from beneath a beautiful tree in the courtyard is something I won’t forget. Wainer was a charming, gracious, and friendly host, and there’s a nice pool as well. Mastro Vanni felt like a calm oasis, yet Ragusa was close enough for day trips or dinner. We loved our stay and highly recommend it.

There’s plenty of open space around the property, with fruit trees and a large pool that make it feel very peaceful. The place is well maintained, and the rooms are spacious with kitchenettes. The breakfast room stays open around the clock, so guests can help themselves to different teas and coffee anytime.
