Alessandro gave us a warm welcome and shared tips that turned out to be really useful. We found parking on nearby streets each time, though it costs a little during some hours. Breakfast comes from the bar around the corner, not the property, with a voucher for coffee and a pastry. The plumbing smell in the bathroom was a letdown, and the old house has a very steep staircase. The guesthouse is in a recently renovated building in central Ragusa, near the Cathedral and the main pedestrian street. Ragusa Ibla is about 20 minutes away on foot, along a very pleasant, scenic walk. It was comfortable enough and good value, and worked well as a base for Ragusa, the nearby Baroque towns and the coast.

The owner was kind and helpful, and the place felt professionally run while still having that Italian hospitality. Everything was spotless, newly done, and the bed was super comfortable. A perfect place to stay in Ragusa.

We got to see the city on foot from this cosy, freshly renovated B&B, and Alessandro was a friendly host who spoke English well. We had some lovely chats. The bed was good and everything was very clean. There’s a little balcony and a heater, which came in handy during the chilly Easter weather. Breakfast is at Olympia patisseria, a few metres along the same street, with great cakes and other treats.
