Etna Quota Mille Boutique Hotel, Typical Sicilian Food & Wine

We had a lovely time and would gladly return. The grounds are picturesque, charming, and very well cared for, and the staff were kind and welcoming. Dinner was outstanding, especially the garlic pasta with tartare, which was some of the best pasta we’ve had. Breakfast is brought to your table based on what you’d like, and if something’s missing, just ask and they’ll happily bring it.

We keep coming back to Etna Quota Mille, and each visit seems better than the last. The outdoor areas are immaculate, the rooms are clean and beautifully decorated, and the beds are comfortable enough to make a good night’s sleep easy. We always eat at the on-site restaurant: the food is well prepared and nicely presented, and there’s an extensive wine list. Breakfast has plenty of local produce, and the staff have always been helpful. Keep it up, Etna Quota Mille, you’re the best for Sicilian hospitality.

My partner and I were on our honeymoon and left early, losing the cost of our reservation because the complex felt sterile and unpleasant to us. The overall atmosphere had corporate retreat vibes, with little privacy and no place to sit apart from other guests, have a glass of wine, and look out at the hills. Etna’s landscape is gorgeous, but from the property it was barely visible. Our room faced an inner pool and fountain, and buildings blocked the hills. The only outside window or door looked onto an area where people could see into our room, and they did when we opened it. I can see this working for families with small children or groups travelling together. For a romantic, private stay or a quiet place to enjoy Etna, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.
