Rosabianca Boutique Hotel

We were perfectly placed overlooking the bay, with the old town just a two-minute walk away. The room was pleasant and clean, in line with what you'd expect from a modern European four-star hotel. The staff at Rosabianca and its restaurant, Il Saletto, were so attentive and helpful, and clearly did everything they could for us. At Il Saletto, they treated us to complimentary dishes and local amaro. The chef made fresh food with local seafood, and we loved the spectacular crudo, calamari 'linguine', spaghetti with sea urchins, and seafood risotto. Rapallo is heavenly. We'll definitely come back.

This is just about the restaurant. It was the first place that caught our eye after we arrived in Rapallo, and it's airy, very clean, and right across from the beach. We shared pesto pasta and salmon salad with spritzes. The salad was spot on and came with plenty of salmon. The pasta was delicate but needed more seasoning, and we weren't given any Parmesan.

I paid 1000€ for five days, and after a day at the beach I had no towel. Staff had taken the one in our room during cleaning, even though we hadn't put out the sign asking for the room to be cleaned. They decided it was dirty after one use and didn't leave a replacement. I called the lobby and was told they'd bring towels; after ten minutes with no update, I went down, and they seemed surprised I still had none. After checking, they said the hotel had run out and offered a hand cloth. I told them it was outrageous to take a perfectly fine towel and leave me with nothing, and they should have bought one if there was a problem. This is the first hotel I've ever stayed in with no towels. The lobby staff didn't seem to care and offered an apology without any real feeling. I'm very disappointed, and the elevator was out of order most of the time.

We stayed for five nights and had a very clean, spacious room, really more like a small apartment with a bedroom and a living room. Room service came daily and was flexible about timing. The sea view was awesome, and the hotel's location was very good. All the staff were kind and the service was high quality. Breakfast was very nice, made with fresh products.
