San Bernardino del Lago

The grounds were fantastic, spacious, and so peaceful. The pool was huge, good for swimming and playing, and it was cleaned and refilled three times during our 10 days. The accommodation was clean and got cleaned regularly, though the kitchen could use a few more utensils. There were three dogs on the property. The owners were lovely and friendly, and changed the towels once. There's a nearby hotel with a fantastic restaurant in a wonderful setting. Tuscany is gorgeous!

There's plenty to enjoy here: a lovely pool with free umbrellas and loungers, a well kept natural fishing lake just for guests, and an outdoor barbecue. The bright, spacious apartments are on the ground floor. It's a peaceful farmhouse surrounded by greenery, great for a relaxing break, and the hosts are friendly and helpful. Dogs are welcome, though check with Gianluca first since they have three. The kitchen is a little short on amenities.

I'm Maria Cristina Vichi. I booked six nights through Edreams and paid in advance. I didn't ask for a refund, although I left two days after arriving because the customer service representatives weren't responding. The apartment was filthy, with dead bugs, cobwebs, and other gross mess. The furnishings were outdated, and the bathroom was unusable. The 12-inch TV had no signal. There was no Wi-Fi, and, more seriously, no mobile phone coverage at all. I have elderly parents at home. Don't tell me that clients come back every year. They should keep the same hygiene standards at home. Shame on them for ruining my only vacation. UPDATE: On top of the awful hygiene in the property and my apartment, there was no mobile coverage, no phone service, not just no Wi-Fi. Stop lying. I had to leave after two nights, and I'm not even talking about the rest of my stay. You're lying, and you know it. Shame on you.

The owners were very welcoming, and we had a wonderful time during our week at this farmhouse. It's surrounded by nature and has comfortable, clean rooms, a swimming pool, and a private lake dotted with colorful water lilies. We had a lovely stay and highly recommend this place to everyone.
