Residence Le Villette

There are some health hazards in the accommodation, but it does the job. The area is handy, with a plaza nearby full of shops, restaurants, and souvenir stores. If you want reasonably priced accommodation close to lots of amenities, this could work well.

We spent most of our time out and about, and Residence Le Villette worked well as a safe place to sleep and keep our travel gear. The rooftop pool was clean and cool, a welcome break in the heat, and the view was lovely. The place is clean and monitored by CCTV. The guy who runs Residence Le Villette was relaxed and welcoming, and quickly fixed our toilet button. He also had a functional-looking kitchen, though we only used the fridge. The double bed is two singles pushed together, and the room isn’t really decorated, so it may not suit anyone planning to spend much time indoors. Getting to the beach means either a hike of about 15,000 steps to Minori or a taxi costing €30-€60 one way. If you hike, we wouldn’t recommend walking back uphill in the evening. Mosquitoes bit us all over!

Luigi was so friendly and helpful. The room was simple but clean, with a beautiful mountainside view. I’d happily stay here again.

The location is convenient, just a three-minute walk from Ravello center, but our experience didn’t match the listing. The photos show a great pool and pleasant surroundings; in reality, the pool had apparently not been usable for a few years, and the area around it was dirty. The apartment furniture was outdated, and equipment ran nonstop during our stay. Parking is limited at the residence and costs 15 Euro per day. When those spaces are full, the public Al Ponte lot is 1 km away and costs 20 Euro per day. The transfer is only one way, from the parking lot to Ravello center. In August, all the street parking spaces are occupied. Our apartment’s only window, in the room/kitchen, had to stay obscured because the lift was right outside the door and people were there all the time. As a result, there was no natural light inside.
