We spent 8 days here as a family with a child. The hotel staff were very friendly, the room was comfortable, and we had a nice view from the balcony, a good bathroom, and a good shower. It’s close to the beach, with excellent facilities available, including an umbrella and two deckchairs, a restaurant, and events. The hotel is fairly priced, and the three meals a day were excellent quality. The province of Ravenna also has amusement parks, and of course the beautiful city of Ravenna, with its mosaics and Dante's tomb.

We spent 10 days here as a family with a small child. The room was okay, clean and tidy, and was cleaned every day. The beach is right across the street. Staff were really friendly, though they didn’t speak any language besides Italian, except Francesca. If you don’t know Italian, be prepared to communicate with your hands and feet 🙄. That part was fine. What we didn’t like was the booking and the initial information, especially for the 1220 euros we paid for HB. I usually book directly with the hotel, and this time it took exactly 17 emails to arrange the stay. I had lots of questions in my first email, but only got answers to some of them, which was very irritating. We eventually received email confirmation for the themed room, the little mermaid, but at check-in the gentleman, the owner, didn’t know what I meant. Later his daughter Francesca made up for it by explaining it was a room for a girl, not a boy, and offering to change the bedding on his bed to, for example, Spiderman. Breakfast was literally identical for all 10 days. The savory choices were eggs, bacon, salami, cheese, and ham. There was a large selection of sweet items, which changed every two to three days, but the savory food stayed the same. I really love a nice breakfast and follow reviews for hotels where I stay, so this was very disappointing. Lunch had a very strange ordering system, and the German translation was disastrous. English wasn’t even an option on the table. They offer a set menu, with pasta as the first course in 99% of cases, three types to choose from. I think soup was an option for two days. The second course was relatively good and tasty, though the choice was very narrow. There’s no dessert at lunch except fruit, unless there are desserts left from dinner the day before. For such a “big” small hotel, lunch is served in a window of only an hour, from 13-14h. Of course everyone comes at once, so waiting is inevitable. For us, that meant 40 minutes on three days. There weren’t enough staff during lunch and dinner, leaving guests looking quite confused. The bedroom walls are very, very thin, making it almost impossible to sleep during the day. In the evening, loud music also makes it hard to sleep even with the windows closed, though fortunately it doesn’t last long, only until around 01h. I can’t write this review on Booking.com because I booked directly with the hotel. I sincerely hope the hotel takes this into account and makes things better. I’m writing as a chef with 17 years of experience who works at the Marriott Hotel in Munich, but above all as a family man who likes to enjoy his vacation.

The beach is good and the water is nice, with the sea nearby. It’s a nice beach hotel with plenty of good food. Mostly local people stay here, along with some Germans.

A great place for a holiday with kids, with a family-friendly feel, good location, good service, and a clean room. Ci ritorneremo 😉!
