Toscanini Rooms

I stayed about 5 months and it was fabulous. A great, quiet apartment to sleep in, and perfect for getting to central Ravenna.

Such a clean, welcoming B&B, and really nice too. I'll definitely come back for a weekend with my family!

The Wi-Fi worked, and the bar next door was good. The location is strategic, right in the center, but I won't stay here again or recommend it. This is an apartment, not a B&B, so there was no breakfast or daily cleaning. The rooms weren't dirty exactly, but they weren't clean either, and it felt like a cheap apartment. At night the air conditioning was so loud, and the rooms had no soundproofing, which made it hard to sleep. By 7:00 AM we were being woken by noise from the street and neighbors. The cleaning lady also wanted to come in before check-out. Parking is nearby, but it wasn't €5 a day. We paid €30 for two days. The entrance hall was always dirty, open to anyone because nobody locked the door, and looked like an abandoned courtyard. I never saw the owners. A guy brought the keys and immediately left. I'm speechless.

The apartment was comfortable for three of us, and the location was lovely for seeing the city. We stayed from December 27th to January 4th, 2020, for 8 days. There were quite a few problems, though. The double bed was fine, and the sofa bed was acceptable. The third bed had slats and could have been fine too, but the mattress was gross, with the springs exposed. Lying on it felt like being massaged by the springs. The pillows were truly obscene. In the bathroom, the shower door was missing and there was only one shelf, though there was room for more. Our towels were never changed during the 8 days. When we arrived, we called the owner and he came a few minutes later. He took our documents, gave us the keys, opened the apartment, then disappeared without explaining anything about the city, parking, or restaurants. We went to the tourist office, where they gave us lots of useful information, including that the San Vitale parking lot practically next door cost €3 per day. The owner had said he couldn't split the double bed, so he had considered adding a camp bed for us three women. The sleeping arrangements were a double bed, sofa bed, and camp bed. I had a B&B until August of last year, so I know how guests should be treated. They even call this a B&B, though nobody offered us breakfast, something the authorities should look into. A little more care would help, especially since a few euros of investment could improve the place's credibility.
