Apan

The staff seemed to care about making guests' stays good, and there are some useful extra services, but too many things went wrong. On the first night, the bed was two small, soft mattresses that kept sliding apart, and I managed only 3-4 hours of sleep. The shower and bathroom sink swung between very hot and cold, with pressure that kept changing. Construction noise was loud from 8 am to 10 am. The fridge had an open bottle of water with some gone. I thought my wife had opened it, and drank from it, but she thought I had. So we both drank a stranger's water. Yuk. Poor room turnover. The left elevator was completely dark, with no lights. Booking said there was an airport shuttle, but there wasn't one, which made returning my rental car harder. For the second night we were moved to a suite. Its fridge was clean, the bed was much more comfortable, and the room was bigger. But the toilet wouldn't flush away solid contents, and the air conditioner was much weaker. There's a decent foundation here, and effort has gone into extra services, but the basics of a hotel stay, sleeping well and having a good shower, need work.
