Al Terrazzo

The view from “Al Terrazzo” is beautiful, with mountains all around and a garden rich in biodiversity. The owner takes care with every detail, including arranging for a local organic farmer to supply vegetables and berries. I’d never had fresh black organic berries for breakfast at a hotel before. You can feel at home here and feel looked after by a wonderful, extraordinary owner, who speaks Italian, English, and French. The neighborhood is very helpful too. Local people are ready to stop what they’re doing to help and often even accompany you to where you’re going. If you want a new adventure and can walk up two floors, book the Guest House “Al Terrazzo” when you visit Reggio Calabria. You’ll thank the Owner and my sincere words.

I was here for work and noticed right away how much care goes into keeping the rooms clean and well maintained. The host was friendly and very helpful, and the welcome was impeccable. Check-in was quick, and breakfast was excellent. The terrace is truly beautiful, though the weather meant we couldn’t use it. Highly recommended!

We spent about ten days here. Waking up to a sea view with Sicily in sight, in a spotlessly clean room, was pure bliss. Domenico and his wife were incredibly kind and professional, which feels rare these days. Breakfast on the lovely terrace, surrounded by plants, was a highlight. The place felt peaceful and clean, and the attentive, careful service had that traditional Calabrian warmth.
