Hotel C'entro

Right in the city center, with comfortable rooms at good prices. There's no escalator, but the service is really good. A very nice place.

Historic hotel, good breakfast, and economical.

The location is the real draw: it's on the most beautiful kilometer in Italy, just a few steps from the museum. The hotel itself feels dated, with bare-bones rooms, old furnishings, a small bathroom without a bidet, and poor soundproofing. My window was broken and wouldn't shut fully. Breakfast is included, but served at a bar two streets away. There was nobody at reception in the evening despite the key-only entry, and I wouldn't have known who to call if something went wrong. I'd only suggest it for a quick trip or business stay.

The terrace breakfast was excellent, with a sea view and options for people with celiac disease. The hotel is close to the seafront, the rates are affordable, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Bars along the seafront can be noisy, so if you want uninterrupted sleep, ask for a room that doesn't face the street.
