We were impressed by how kind and helpful the owners were. The rooms, though, aren't all alike. Our first assignment was the "Riace" room, which had no furniture, a nonworking mini-fridge, and a private bathroom outside the room with a regular shower, even though we'd been told it had a whirlpool tub. After we pointed out the differences, we were moved to the "Aragonese" room for an additional fee. It was more comfortable and relaxing, with an en-suite bathroom that had a shower with a built-in radio and a whirlpool tub.

It's our third visit to Reggio Calabria, and we've found Michele and Paola's B&B to be a sure thing each time. The place is clean, and the kindness and helpfulness are always there. Highly recommended. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

My daughter and I had booked a double and a single room after seeing the great reviews. We let them know our arrival time in the morning, but nobody was there when we got in. We sent several messages with no reply, then called and still no one came. Eventually somebody let us in, and with directions over the phone we found our room. The double bed had been made up, not the single. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The bathroom smelled stale and had no aerator or hand soap, just two small sachets of body wash and shampoo that weren't enough to wash your whole body. There was a little kettle with tea and chamomile, but only one cup. The steps in and out were dangerous, and at 7 in the morning we were woken by what may have been a washing machine, making such a racket it sounded like it could fall through the ceiling. I'll leave it there.

The B&B is right in the city center, so you can walk to the beach, port, museum, Corso Garibaldi, and the station. Breakfast was plentiful, the staff were friendly and very helpful, and the services made for a restful, relaxing stay. Prices were reasonable too. I highly recommend it.
