The building’s location in the heart of the city is the only reason I’m giving one star. My husband and I needed a long-term stay in Calabria and chose this place from among many hotels and apartments. We arranged well in advance to rent a room with residence treatment. The owner was very kind and helpful while we were making the arrangements, and assured us the room would be reserved and equipped with all the comforts for living when we arrived. What we found was a huge disappointment: dirt everywhere, mold on the ceiling by the shower, and no working heat apart from the air conditioning, which didn’t work either. The kitchen had almost no utensils, just one plate and rusty cutlery, among other things. We reported the problems to the owner, but he showed no interest for a night and a whole day. We left after that, paying €40 just for sleeping, without even being able to use the shower. It was an experience I wouldn’t repeat. I absolutely don’t recommend this place.

Everything you might want to visit is just a stone’s throw away. Excellent accommodation in central Reggio Calabria.

The premises have been renovated and are ideally situated near the train station and the old quarter.
