The place has a lovely feel and reflects the area's history. I stayed one night for work. My room was rather dark, had carpet that I don't care for, especially with my dog along, and the shower was a little small. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They suggested an excellent restaurant five minutes away by car, and I enjoyed chatting with them over breakfast, especially since I was travelling alone. It would be even better if the hotel offered restaurant service, given where it's located.
