Biagio is incredibly friendly and always there if you have a question or run into a problem. He even brings fresh fruit from the grove. You do need to sort out your own meals, but the kitchen and beach toys are provided, and everything is simple and charming. The accommodation sits among orange trees and is quiet, nicely furnished, and only a few hundred meters from the sea. There’s a bakery about five minutes away on foot and a supermarket a few minutes away by car. A lovely spot to slow down and relax.

We felt at home in the orange grove, thanks to Biagio’s lovely welcome. The cottage has a superbly equipped kitchen, and there’s a bakery just around the corner for fresh panini in the morning. The beach is an easy walk, though it’s pebbly. Beautiful sandy beaches are about a 20-minute drive away. The curtains didn’t quite seal, so we had to watch out for mosquitoes. Air conditioning would have been a nice extra, but the ceiling fan helped a lot. We’d recommend it if you want a private holiday without having breakfast with other guests each day.
